FDA Panel Has Decided:Don't Use Cold Meds in Children Under 6!

Federal health advisers decided that cold and cough medicines don't work in kids and it was recommended that they not be used in children under 6.

In two separate votes, the panelists said the medicines shouldn't’t be used in children younger than 2 or in those younger than 6. A third vote, to recommend against use in children 6 to 11, failed. For more on this click here.

The EB Medical Research Foundation is a volunteer nonprofit foundation dedicated to the support of medical research of Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), its causes, the development of successful treatments, and ultimately, its cure. Epidermolysis Bullosa is is a group of diseases characterized by blister formation after minor trauma to the skin. This family of disorders, most of which are inherited, range in severity from mild to the severely disabling and life-threatening diseases of the skin. This rare genetic disorder affects all ethnic and racial groups. Estimates indicate that as many as 100,000 Americans suffer from some form of EB. A WORD ON UNDERAGE DRINKING

As a mom, I found this very interesting and surprising...Did you know that 65% of underage youth obtain alcohol from family and friends? And that only 7% of underage youth report that they obtained alcohol from retailers that did not check ID. Well...there is an organization, The Century Council, that has made it a mission to fight drunk driving and underage drinking. Check out there various initiatives.

I am one of those persons that loves products.
