When I wanted to commemorate the birth of my son I looked for a piece of jewelry that I could have with me always but nothing seemed to grab me. Everything seemed, ummm... just not right.I did however settle on a double heart necklace from Tiffany's that bares my son's initials. I do wish that I had come across Rocks To Buy Baby.

Hey Moms...here's another product review. I absolutely love the Baby Bjorn City Carrier (and trust me, I've tried quite a few). I'm a lazy mom and dread lugging the stroller in and out of the car. But I'm gonna have to do it eventually because the Baby Bjorn City Carrier only holds infants up to 25lbs. My little guy is 18lbs so let the count down begin to stroller time! Price tag: 79.99. FDA Panel Has Decided:Don't Use Cold Meds in Children Under 6!

Federal health advisers decided that cold and cough medicines don't work in kids and it was recommended that they not be used in children under 6.

In two separate votes, the panelists said the medicines shouldn't’t be used in children younger than 2 or in those younger than 6. A third vote, to recommend against use in children 6 to 11, failed. For more on this click here.

I am always looking for cool products for kids and keepsakes for moms. I found two neat items over at Red Envelope. One is a "Hand Print Tower". For thirty bucks you can capture your little one's hand prints from age 1 up to age 5. The hand print kit comes in pink or blue tins. Makes a great shower gift!

The other cool gift (and another way to immortalize your little one) also from Red Envelope is a personalized fairytale or animal story book. Two women, Robin Bloksberg and Janis Armstrong, who lost their battle with breast cancer inspired the formation of the Gal to Gal Foundation. Th honor these women, the Virtual Walk to benefit the Gal to Gal Foundation begins in Robin's hometown of Boston and ends in Janis' hometown of San Francisco.

I joined the Virtual Walk in honor of my grandmother, Lessie Branson, who is, fortunately, a 20 year plus breast cancer survivor. This is a fun way to raise money and bring awareness.
